‘This is Pueblo, Not Minneapolis’ – Puebloans rally after George Floyd’s death

On display Monday night a show of love for George Floyd the man killed in Minnesota. But in Pueblo, police violence elsewhere is a visceral and generational reminder of Pueblo’s own ethnic strife. It’s a 150 history of ethnic and economic struggle for Latinos, blacks, Indigenous, immigrants and whites who have felt the chains of poverty and racism. So on this night, protestors weren’t met with show of force but a police chief who tried to heal those reopened wounds.
