David Lord, also known as Francis Moss, will be performing at PULP Concert #10. With the help of Blank Tape Records, the PULP invited Lord and now the concert is set. Lord, a musician from Air House Records, will be traveling from his home in Wichita, Kansas. The Dreamy Indie Rock that Lord will be playing, will surely be quite the treat and quite dreamy, maybe even creamy. He will be traveling here as a solo act, but he’s also involved with a project called, The Wonder Revolution, who will be hosting their album release party on May 4.
So, as the anticipation builds for his group’s new album, so will the anticipation for the PULP concert. With just his guitar, some loops and effects, Lord will put together a set on the spot.
“I have a lot of material,” Lord explained. “I just choose what to play at the show, depending on the mood of the evening.”
Let’s hope the mood is good for Lord’s visit to Pueblo. Outside of the groups that he has and still does play for, Lord has played as a solo act in Pueblo just a few times. In the last 5 years, he has made a visit to Colorado at least once a year, but has not made the trip with his new group, The Wonder Revolution. That could mean there might be a visit this upcoming summer.
Since learning how to play the guitar in the seventh grade, and being exposed to Tortoise and The Sea, Lord has found the motivation to find his own sound and with the influences infused in his heart, he will be playing a set for the PULP crowd that no one has ever heard.
Prepare for a relaxing evening of dreamy Jazz Rock. It’s something you have to experience to know how amazing it is.
The PULP concert will take place at the PULP office, in Pueblo, Colo, on May 1. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.
