Pueblo COVID-19 cases nearly double in one day

There are now 18 Pueblo County Residents who tested positive for COVID-19 and 23 cases, including non-residents – nearly doubling the number of positive cases, according to the Pueblo Department of Public of Health and Environment.

About the numbers: The 23 cases include other individuals who were tested or treated at Pueblo area hospitals or at the mobile testing lab. 

Not a complete picture: With limited testing, these cases skew towards those patients admitted and displayed COVID-19 symptoms.

It is unknown what percentage of tests have gone towards healthcare professionals. It is also unknown the number of hospitalized patients

What’s next: The numbers are expected to rise over the coming days with the peak of COVID-19 still weeks away in Colorado.
