Time after time, I have preached against the music that Jason Derulo has produced since his first album, because it has been mainly kid Pop. But things are starting to change for Derulo. He has found who he is and he’s actually turning out to be a great vocalist.
Before, the producers would autotune his voice and the instrumentals were boring. Now, there’s no more autotune on his surprisingly good vocals and the instrumentals are exponentially better. “Want To Want Me,” “Trumpets” and “Talk Dirty” are all hits and that’s a quick change of pace for the one hit wonder. Smooth lyrics, great instrumentals and great production has resurrected Derulo’s career.
