Get the summer recreation season kicked off right with a celebration of Colorado Public Lands Day. Come for all the activities, or just pick a few…being outdoors is the perfect way to start your summer!
The fun starts at Arkansas Point Campground Ranger Station on the south side of the park at 5:30 pm. Kid’s of all ages will enjoy crafts, wildlife displays, a ranger patrol boat, trail information, a story-walk, a fishing game and even free popcorn.
At 6:30, across the field at the amphitheater, the Park Naturalist will talk about the wildlife of the park and end with a rousing game of “Wildlife Olympics.”
To top off the evening, starting at 7:15 pm, take a hike along the bluffs to discover all that Lake Pueblo’s public land has to offer.
All activities are free, but a valid park pass is required on every vehicle that enters the park.
