5:30 p.m. | Doctor who visited Huerfano confirmed COVID-19 positive

The Trinidad Chronicle-News is reporting that a doctor who visited patients in Huerfano County tested positive for the Coronavirus.

Las Animas Huerfano Counties District Health Department  is performing an invstigation to contact the patients who may have been exposed.

4:15 p.m. | Jared Polis issues stay-at-home order for Colorado.

On Wednesday evening, Governor Jared Polis issued a statewide stay-at-home order

The order starts Thursday at 6 a.m. and would run until April 11. 

The Governor encouraged interaction only between one’s family members.

“This executive order means Coloradans should not be leaving their homes except for critical activities including:

  • Obtaining food and other household necessities including medicine

  • Going to and from work if you are a critical employee

  • Seeking medical care

  • Caring for dependents or pets

  • Caring for a vulnerable person in another location

  • Cannabis and liquor stores will remain open

  • Or participating in outdoor recreation at a legally-mandated safe distance of six feet or more from other parties”

4:00 p.m. | Chaffee County Public Health Confirms 5th Case

On social media, Chaffee County Public Health confirmed its 5th positive case. The five cases are:

  • 46 male, traveled out of state
  • 69 male, under investigation & resident at Columbine Manor
  • 83 male, under investigation and in a hospital out of county
  • 72 male, under investigation and traveled out of country
  • 80 female under investigation resident at Columbine Manor

2:00 p.m. | Pueblo County remains at 3 positive cases

The numbers from the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment in the daily 2 p.m. release:

  • 137 total tests pending in Pueblo county included in this are the 90 taken on Thursday, March, 19.
  • 69 tests returned negative
  • 3 tests returned positive

12 p.m. | Greater Denver area under stay-at-home orders, half of Colorado population ordered to stay-home.

From the Associated Press, five counties Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Douglas and Jefferson will join Denver in ordering residents to stay home. 

Half of Colorado’s 5.7m people are now under stay-at-home orders. As of Wednesday, Gov. Jared Polis has not issued a statewide stay-at-home order.
