Like everything Lisa Musso-Marino takes on, her newest venture on Union Avenue is world class. Musso's Italian Market & Deli, which opened in November of 2011, would feel right at home in a big city. From the hand-painted murals of Italian villas to the antiqued shelves stuffed with local honey and imported olives and vinegars, stepping into the shop is like stepping into an Italian rosticceria. Shoppers can take home fresh Italian breads baked daily at the family's restaurant in Vineland, fresh deli items imported from Italy such as Mortadella and Italian cheeses and locally made products such as pickled peppers and jam. Along with deli and cookie trays, the shop offers salads and sandwiches including the "Mussoletto" a giant muffaletta sandwich filled with Genoa salami, mortadella, ham, olives and several Italian cheeses and of course Musso's home-grown chilies. The market is also an outlet for Musso-Marino's handmade pasta sold under the name Joe-Vito-Bella.
