I'm already sick of summer! I'm sick of the heat! I'm sick of seeing my 75-year-old neighbor in his Daisy Dukes! And I am sick to death of hot restaurants! Luckily, I know one place for lunch that's cool enough to almost make me forget that it's like a hundred damn degrees outside!

Picture yourself walking down 4th Street in the mid-1940s. All you needed was one cent and a bit of luck to get yourself a drink, because Penny's Bar had a large fish tank filled with water and a single shot glass. You stood at the bar with victorious veterans, flicked a penny, and if it landed in the shot glass, you got a free shot of your choice.

Where have all the heroes gone? Pueblo is supposedly home to the heroes, but where are they? Someone told me they are hanging out in a restaurant in Bessemer, so I go in to investigate.

Let's face it: you can't swing a dead cat in Pueblo without hitting a Mexican restaurant.

With so many to choose from, we have the luxury of being selective. As luck would have it, there happens to be a great little Mexican place right in my backyard.
